- forecasting technology and new product sales,
- technology product market analysis and
- expert witness services as well as litigation-related consulting.
Bass Economics, Inc. was founded in 2000 by Portia Isaacson Bass and Frank M. Bass.
Professor Frank Bass
(1926 - 2006) was a pioneer in marketing science. His Bass Model of
new product diffusion and its derivatives are the most widely referenced and applied
mathematical models for forecasting sales of new products and services. The
Bass Models are also used to determine optimal product/service pricing and to analyze
marketing-mix effects.

Principal consultant Portia Bass is a pioneer technology and market analyst in the computer, telecom and semiconductor industries. Her particular expertise includes
mobile computing and telecom (laptop computers, tablet PCs, netbooks, battery, DSP), personal computer markets, PC components and peripherals (microprocessor, DRAM, GPU, DVD drives, laser printers).
With physics B.S., computer-architecture Ph.D., marketing-science scholarly publications and current hands-on data analytics and market forecasting skills, Dr. Bass is particularly qualified to assist companies in market analysis of complex technology markets.
Her clients have included hundreds of companies, for example, ATT, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Texas Instruments, Matshushita and Sony.
